Grundarfjörður

Grundarfjörður is a small town on the northern shore of the Snæfellsnes peninsula in western Iceland. With a population of just about 900 people, this coastal community might be small, but it packs quite a punch when it comes to natural beauty and unique attractions.

The town's crown jewel is undoubtedly Kirkjufell (Church Mountain), a distinctively shaped peak that rises 463 meters above sea level.
